The following are the main advantages of guided wave radar level gauges, summarized in sections as follows:
1. High measurement accuracy
Based on the principle of time-domain reflection, the measurement error can usually be controlled within ± 1mm without being affected by changes in physical properties such as medium density, temperature, and pressure.
It can also stably measure low dielectric constant media such as light hydrocarbons and liquid gases.
2. Strong anti-interference ability
It is not disturbed by foam, steam, fog, turbulence, etc. on the surface of the medium, and is suitable for complex working conditions (such as high temperature, high pressure, strong corrosion environment).
The waveguide rod/cable structure guides the propagation of electromagnetic waves and reduces the impact of environmental clutter.
3. Wide adaptability
It can measure various media such as liquids, slurries, and granular solids, and is suitable for scenarios including storage tanks, reaction vessels, tanks, etc.
Supports high temperature (up to 400 ºC or above), high pressure (up to 40MPa), and strong corrosive media (such as acid and alkali solutions).
4. Easy installation and maintenance
The installation method is flexible (threaded, flange, etc.), and the length of the waveguide rod/cable can be customized to adapt to different container heights.
Non contact measurement (electromagnetic wave reflection), no mechanical moving parts, low wear, long service life, and low maintenance cost.
5. Continuous measurement and high reliability
It can achieve continuous real-time monitoring of liquid level and output 4-20mA analog or digital signals (such as HART, Modbus) for system integration.
Adopting a fully sealed design with a high protection level (such as IP67), it is suitable for long-term stable operation in outdoor or harsh environments.
6. Wide applicability
The measurement range is large, ranging from tens of centimeters to tens of meters, meeting the needs of containers of different sizes.
No need for regular calibration, with good long-term accuracy retention.
